The History
DECCIO'S SEASONING is named after its creator, former chef James Deccio, from Yakima, Washington. Chef Deccio
initially began with
Deccio's All Purpose Seasoning in the 1960's but with its sole
success throughout Central Washington's groceries and restaurants he soon
added
Deccio's Salad Seasoning and
Deccio's Ranch Dressing & Dip Mix to his collection.
One of the early restaurants to utilize this
succulent seasoning was Jeans Cottage Inn, a renowned steakhouse in
Union Gap, Washington owned and operated by Ron and Betty Boyd. The
delicious reputation that followed the Boyd family can be contributed, for
some extent, to Deccio's masterpiece seasonings!
When DECCIO'S SEASONING went up for sale in 1991, it
was a "no-brainer" to the Boyd family to purchase the company. Now
they were guaranteed the continued availability and quality of the
seasoning products that they used in the restaurant, and could begin
sharing their delightful secret.
The Boyd's sold Jeans Cottage Inn in the year
2000 to a longtime employee. The reputation of the steakhouse now
precedes the new owners and we are proud to say they continue to use all
of the DECCIO'S SEASONING products. In the year 2005 Allan & Kristi Marks,
owners of Jean's Cottage Inn have purchased Deccio's Seasoning. We will
continue the tradition of manufacturing these fine, quality
seasoning's . |
